Camaro Superfest -Tour d’ Superfest

Tour d' Superfest

What the heck is this you ask? Not quite a cruise, not quite a rally, more like a pleasurable driving adventure with the chance of some prizes at the end. We are calling Friday’s activity: Tour d’ Superfest. Take the wheel of your Camaro and go hug some roads! This idea is born out of our club’s love for road trips, and finding nice little places to stop at along the way.

We are going to start from the host hotel and send you on a driving adventure across a few counties, maybe down some paved country roads, and include some tasty stops along the way.  If you plan accordingly, you can get a breakfast pastry; a coffee; lunch; and ice cream for dessert! (This is in keeping with our club’s tradition of fun stops throughout our day.) Oh and by the way– fast doesn’t mean first!

WHEN

Friday, July 11th 2025. Flexible start times between 8:00am and 12:00pm. The activity will conclude at 3:00pm.

Where

The Tour begins at our host hotel, the Hampton Inn by Hilton

169 Loop Rd., Commerce Township, Michigan 48390

Registration

Objective

Participate in a driving tour, stopping at predetermined checkpoints along the way. A formula of elapsed time and stops at checkpoints determine where you will finish among the rest of participant field at the end of the day. While this is a timed event, the goal is to have a good time, obey laws, walk away with a smile, and possibly a good story from an unintended wrong turn along the way.

Rules

$25.00 entry fee, limited to 40 Camaro entries

Here are the rules that need to be followed if you wish to enter this tour.

#1. NO SPEEDING, BURNOUTS OR CARELESS DRIVING. THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES ARE VERY AWARE THAT THIS IS TAKING PLACE AND HAVE THE APPROPRIATE PATROLS IN THE FIELD.

#2. THIS EVENT IS INTENDED FOR RECREATIONAL DRIVING THROUGH A SCENIC PORTION OF THE COUNTRYSIDE AND NOT A VENUE TO TEST YOUR CAMARO’S PERFORMANCE.

#3. You must follow the intended route; and have the ability to show a photograph your Camaro at the beginning of the tour, each of the five checkpoints, and at the end of the tour.

#4. Each entry will be checked by the judges for accuracy of the photos. Any entry not completing the photos will be disqualified.

#5. Purchases at any of the checkpoints may be used in the case of a tie. Keep your receipts.

#6. You may enjoy a short lunch at the Hell Saloon and dessert afterwards at Captain Frosty’s.

#7. There is an optional detour with even more enjoyable roads should you decide to lengthen your route.

#8. The sheet with the times and stops on it must be turned in at the finish of the tour. The time of start and time of finish must be filled in by a CSF staff member. You may figure your un-official time but it will be double checked by the judges.

#9. How prizes will be awarded

  • All the entry’s times will be logged by the judges.
  • The participant field’s average time will be taken when all times are entered.
  • The five Camaros closest to the field’s average time will be awarded the top prizes in order of closest to furthest from that time.
  • In the event of a tie for any place, the judges will ask for any receipts from the stops on the tour. The person with the most receipts will be deemed the winner of that prize. If the number of receipts is equal then your CSF registration number will be put on the receipt and a random drawing will take place for that prize.
  • FIRST PLACE PRIZE IS $still being calculated
  • SECOND PLACE PRIZE IS $still being calculated
  • THIRD PLACE PRIZE IS $still being calculated
  • FOURTH PLACE PRIZE IS $still being calculated
  • FIFTH PLACE PRIZE IS $still being calculated
    • These are subject to Change
  • The fastest car will not be eligible for the special prize drawing at Saturday evening’s dinner unless it falls within “x” amount of time of the field’s average.
  • All entries must be turned in at the finish, no exceptions.
  • PRIZES WILL BE AWARDED AFTER DINNER SATURDAY EVENING.

You will notice that the time you take to complete your Tour will have an enormous bearing on the rest of the field. Those who take time for lunch will lengthen the overall average elapsed time, and change the outcome of for the rest of the field–increasing or decreasing one’s chances at for a prize. Decision of the judges is final.
